Driving through the night

Any of you know Move's song with this title? It was used as the opening song for the anime Ikkitousen (not the Dragon Destiny one). Well, what happened to me last night had something to do with the title of the song, but not the song (or lyric for that matter) itself.

Had to do a quickie to J.B. to assist my dad. So, by 5:30pm yesterday, i departed from K.L. and had a quick stop to pray at RNR Pagoh before reaching J.B. at 9pm. After the task was done, i headed back to K.L. non-stop at around 2:30am and reached home by 5:30am. So that's roughly 700km in a night. Although the trip wasn't made with Aoi-chan, it gave me the opportunity to re-evaluate my dad's Wira and i must say that with the stiffer shock absorbers and Bridgestone Potenza RE001 tyres... the whole journey was a riot.

But i still wished that i had drove Aoi-chan. It would have made the journey far more pleasurable... Gomenne Aoi-chan.

bvc100 endorsed anime: True Tears

There's a whole range of new animes on the internet. Got to see some of them and by God there are some worth mentioning. One anime in particular is True Tears. It's kind of those drama types, based on a high school kid's life. Although you can predict the plot as it goes along, i must say that i got hooked to it for some reasons.

One of it is the quality of the artwork. I'm not sure which anime-studio made it, but a pat on the back for them for making a series that doesn't look out of place in a movie. You can see from some of the screenshots below, the background and attention to detail is marvelous. By the way, you can hardly differentiate which part or object is made entirely by CG and which are drawn. It is that good!

Secondly, i've got a soft spot for well designed characters, and this one has it in bucket load. The three main bishoujo characters are simply... beautiful and kawaii at the same time. Of course, i do have a favourite: Isurugi Noe (and she's featured in most of the screenshots below~~~). Oh yeah, the design of the male characters is just as good.

And last but not least, the overall presentation. The music (especially the opening song by Eufonius), sound effects and seiyuu voices are well matched to the anime to give it that extra something over other animes. As a result, i fully endorse this anime to anyone who love this sort of genre.

Jeng3... who is Isurugi Noe?

Introducing... Isurugi Noe~~~

Kawaii~~~

A basketball scene. This is one of the proof that their artwork is tops~

Huh? What's this? Who is she supporting??? Noooo!!!!

p/s: The last anime that swept me off my feet was Kanon. That was good...

Anime of the week

My personal anime of the week is Hayate no Gotoku Ep. 40. In this episode, a parody of one of my old favourite tv series, The Knight Rider is featured. Some screenshot of the episode is shown below.

Enjoy~

Figures affected by fatigue?

Some of the figures in my collection are starting to show signs of fatigue. To all of you engineers out there, you should know what fatigue is. To those of you not with engineering background, ask your engineering friends since i couldn't be bothered to type it here. (Nice!)

Anyway, the worst affected figure is my Tohsaka Rin in maid uniform. Okay2, it isn't as bad as it sounds but having seen the change from when it was first bought up till now, it's worrying me a bit. Shown below is the effect of fatigue on it. When brand new, the skirt/apron was properly positioned in her hands. Now, it isn't.

There are two factors which i think are contributing to this:
1. Gravity and design: She has too much weight being offset due to the selected pose.
2. Heat: Since my apartment isn't air-conditioned, the pvc soften up when it gets warm and made her deform.

I do hope i can find a way to manage this. If not, then i'll have to pack her back into her box... or put her in the fridge.

Doujin, again

2 Sisters

Yes3... what better way to start this week's installment of blogs by presenting to you one of my latest artwork.

Unlike the previous one, this one is one of the more usual theme that i use. The difference is that instead of only one character doing a sort of a pose, there are two in this one. Okay, i must admit it does look odd at certain places, but what the heck.

By the way, i've submitted this to the Star newspaper to be published in their weekly otaku column/page. This is my 3rd attempt. Hope this one gets through.

Wish me luck~~~
