Trial by fire and water

i'm quite sure that most of you out there have watched Captain Planet (yes, the cartoon and no, not Mr. Planet/Universe). There were 5 elements: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and Heart or something or another... oh well.
Today, i had a glimpse of people (other people were involved, luckily it wasn't me) facing trials by two of the mentioned element: Fire and Water.
For the fire, some unlucky fellow had their car torched on the Federal Highway this morning, and yes i was there to witness the event and again no, it wasn't a locally made or local brand car. The cause of a sudden detonation of a car is either a fuel leak, faulty cooling system or some idiotic mistake the owner made by not maintaining the vehicle properly. Tough luck...
On the water side, there was a sudden heavy downpour today and some part of KL had flash flood (as usual). Strangely, in one stretch of the Federal Highway (the exit to Kelana Jaya/Sunway, from Shah Alam) the water rose to a depth that a car couldn't wade through. But, since humans weren't made equal, some stupid drivers decided to try going through (and mind you, it's standard cars we're talking about, not the 4x4 which will have no problem wading through such depth), only to find their car cough and sputter a few meters in or after the flood. If they're lucky, once the engine is dry, the can move on. If not, hahahahaha... a long bill is comin' their way~ Again, i was there to witness everything... 'cause i was stuck in the traffic jam anyway.
Speaking of which, the pictures below isn't exactly photo perfect, but they sure paint the image. My word of advice? Don't play with fire... and don't play with water... errr, that doesn't sound right. Oh heck.

Trial by fire. Car is a Fiat Punto (one of the newer model, not the HGT). Picture distorted due to PDA's camera lag

Trial by water. One of the 'wet' spot on Federal Highway. Three cars were stranded (foolish owners); Merc Benz 200, Prod Kelisa and another i couldn't recognize in time. Seems to me that those living in KL need amphibious cars...

Doujin Update plus bonus stuff~

Noooooo!!!!
What in the world happened to warungpakseman.com's server? Now, apart from here n minitokyo.net, people will never be able to see my artwork. Darn! Dareka~! Somebody, fix it!!!
But hey, life must go on. So here's the update this week. Though there's only 2 artwork, they are of the completed type aka "i did have some spare time to sketch, clean n ink it plus do a bit more editing and cleaning up in the computer before posting it". The theme is nekomimi. One was inspired by the recent Valentino Rossi's day (Valentine's day to the other's who DO celebrate it. i don't... can't... darn again...), and the other is just another test of a different pose.
And here they are~~~ *clap3...

And since i had a grrreat week, here's some bonus stuff for all of you~ Wallies by your's truly~~~

Wallie of the two nekomimis from the above images

Char from T2's artwork, "Reflectia" is the tite of the OP in True Tears. Didn't find any True Tears scans on the net yet.

Char from Onegai Twins anime, one of my all time favourites

Blog time!

And here it is~ The long awaited first blog to be posted from my new apartment~~~
So... what to start with? A lil' bit of doujin perhaps? Nope. Let's get some update on what's happening around my life first...
On my adaptation to working life schedule, i think i'm gettin' the hang of it. Did my first OT (overtime, but i'm not paid for it) today. The office doesn't seem to eerie without the others though since most of the time the office is supposed to be quiet anyway. (What do you expect to happen in an office type job? A samba party????). Other than that, my life boredom level had gone down with the introduction of tasks. Thank goodness for that. Oh yeah, first paycheck is due next week (HAHAHAHAHA!). So don't bother calling me if you're thinking of getting a taste of it... i know whom i want to treat first~~~
Oh yeah, this internet connection. The internet is courtesy of Hani (Aero student, IIUM daaa... not 'honey') through his broadband thingy, So thanks to him for this.
Hmmm... what else? Oh yeah, thanks also to the macha by the side of the road to work every morning for providing me with the daily dose of the Star newspaper...
Ok, this one is acceptably long already. This is the last one: To all fellow Malaysians, don't forget to vote.
Right. The end. Let's go to the next one...
