Long live Kutaku!

Just finished reading the post on Itasha Show at dannychoo.com and i was amazed at how fellow otakus dress up their cars. So what is Kutaku then? Well, for some of you who used to be on the wired WPS lan in IIUM, you might already know that the term was coined from two words: Otaku + Kuruma = Kutaku. Funny huh? Now that i know it's called Itasha, i'll be referring to it using that name then.

By the way, i remembered doing a rendition of Aoi-chan dressed up as one sometime back. i'll post it here when i find it and a few more afterwards when i have the idea and time to do so...

Long live Itasha/Kutaku!!!

Other updates

Let's see... oh yes.

ONE. The new Proton BLM in one of my previous post has been officially launched today by our Prime Minister. The car retains the Saga name without an additional name at the back to make it sound cool or plain dumb (no pun intended).

TWO. Just finished reading a book entitled "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert T. Kiyosaki with Sharon L. Lechter as the co-author. The book was a recommended read by a good friend of mine (thanks Aziim) and i find it a MUST READ for all of you out there who wants to get out of the 'Rat Race'...

THREE. Watched some new episodes of well known (or old) anime plus some newer ones. I sincerely recommend you to watch Gintama, especially ep.44. Other recommended titles include Over Drive, Clannad, Bamboo Blade, Rozario Vampire, True Tears and some unmentionables~

FOUR. Found that Shakugan no Shana Second is as flat as the first season. No particular reason yet, but i will find one by the end of the series. Watched Gunslinger Girl season 2 ep.1 and found the artwork and sound to be disappointing. See the first season, and you'll know what i mean.

FIVE. My figure of Tohsaka Rin seems to deform with time. i don't know whether it's just me or it really is deforming (oh no!!!). This will be covered properly in an upcoming blog.

Phew... done! (@_@)'

Latest artwork, but with a twist~

I went to IIUM a few days back to do my clearance for graduation. Although the process was painstakingly irritating, but one or two things help me to cool off, though not much...

One of it was the IIUM mosque. It has been a few months since i last came and prayed there, and i know that this is one of the place which i will miss in IIUM. Seeing it from a non-student point of view, i really appreciate the whole simplicity and comfort that was designed into it. Wished i had gone there a bit more during the student days...

Second, was the surroundings. And this i don't mean the other buildings, landscapes or such (though there are some nice scenery in IIUM), but the ladies. Don't get me wrong. i wasn't ogling over every lady that pass by me. It's just that in such a way, although IIUM requires the Muslim female students to wear it, the scarfs worn by the sisters made them look better, more mature and more importantly, beautiful. Add the fact that the choice of scarfs on offer made them also bang up to date in fashion terms, it had me inspired to try a hand on creating an artwork slightly different from my normal ones. I must say, i'm quite pleased with the outcome, but who am i to decide.

Hope that i can try to do this in parallel to my other artworks~~~

bvc100 and Aoi-chan in a magazine?

Went to one of SAVOC's meet recently and was told that the club was featured in a two page coverage of the KERETA magazine. Knowing that i had attended one of the bigger meet before, it was informed that the photo's taken that night was also featured in it. And so, here it is~

The top part was from the first page, the bottom from the second. Me and Aoi-chan marked by the red circles~

Although me and Aoi-chan is barely visible at first glance, it's the presence that counts~~~
Hohohoho (^ o ^)|'''

Quickie trip to Low Yatt Plaza... by bus

Aoi-chan sure was frustrated when i suddenly decided to take the bus to KL today. Why? It's a Sunday, there was a big even going on in KL and most of the main roads are closed. But, surprise2... the road to the Golden Triangle of KL wasn't that congested. Now i kinda regret not taking Aoi-chan.

Anyhow, with a fare of RM1, i managed to get there fairly fast. But the journey on the bus takes me back to the days before i got my driving license. Although the route was almost the same, the roads and the surroundings have changes quite a lot. A few of the older buildings have been demolished to make way for development. How sad... history is lost *snap*, just like that.

After buying the intended items; blank DVDs (to burn watched Animes and unused data) and a thumbdrive, i headed home. It started raining, but luckily i managed to get to the bus stop just in time to take a shelter from it. It was on this part of the whole trip that made me realize just how important public transport is to the masses. Those who can't afford a personal vehicle, those who lives and work in the bus' routes, students, foreigners, etc... their lives typically depend on it.

However, i'd stick to Aoi-chan. Why? Forgetting the fact that the bus stop which i will disembark from the bus is quite a walk away from my house and it was raining, i reached home safe... and soaked.

Aoi-chan, gomendasai~~~ """(T _ T)"""

The atmosphere inside the bus on the way home

Empress new boots~

Well, Aoi-chan's new tyres is more like it, but that wouldn't make much of a title. Hahaha~

Anyway, thanks in part to my not-so-outstanding-but-good achievement in my final result of my study, i managed to get a sponsor for replacing Aoi-chan's semi-slick (read as half bald) tyres... al four of them. A quick visit to the clinic again for her and out she comes with a brand spanking new Goodyear Eagle NCT5 tyres. Although the 'doctor' and his fellow 'nurses' tried to fit a better and slightly wider tyres on Aoi-chan, due to her slim dimensions, we were forced to stick with this one.

Now, even with her front lip spoiler missing, Aoi-chan can still fly in the corners~~~
Yahooo~~~ \(^ O ^)/

Old tyres out, new tyres in~~~
