New animes not to be missed

And now, for an otaku blog.
There are some rather interesting new animes going around currently. Mentioned here are some of the more notable:
1. Nabari - This story revolves around Rokujo Miharu, a boy who has the Shinrabansho inside of him. Shinrabansho is like the greatest knowledge of the Nabari (ninja) world and can grant anything that the user wishes. Currently, the plot is on their (himself and a few other characters which i forgot their names) effort in either sealing or extracting the Shinrabansho from his body. Overall (up till ep07), the animation, sound, music and presentation makes this a worthwhile anime to watch, especially after the 'normal' and 'boring' Naruto. Sorry Naruto fans...

2. Mnemosyne - This anime isn't for the faint hearted or those who watch anime on a leisure basis. Try watching the first episode, and you'll get what i mean. A solid effort from a new anime studio (new here refers to one i've never heard of) with very nice and detailed artwork and out-of-the-ordinary storyline. By the way, i can't tell much here since it'll spoil the anime. It's one of those anime where it's better watched rather than talked...

3. Code Geass, Lelouch of the rebellion R2 - The second season of a similarly titled anime, the plot now continues as Zero is 'resurrected' and continues his rebellion against the Brittanian government. As expected, they continued the first season's wonderful artwork and improved on the overall presentation. A must watch for mecha and Clamp-work based freaks (i'm of the latter).

4. Misc: Others which kinda interest me which needs to be mentioned are Kanokon and Ayakashi. The former is a ecchi type of anime (those who digs nekomimi, inumimi n stuff will surely like this one) and the latter... i'm still watching the first few episodes and haven't deleted it yet (which means it's quite okay).

Some other new animes not mentioned here are either:
1- I don't recommend watching
2-i haven't watched yet
3-Both of the above
Any good anime titles you'd like to share? Just post a comment.

And now, for some screenshots~~~
First up, Nabari no Ou

Characters are (from left): Miharu, Thobari-sensei, Kouichi and Raimei. All are from the Banten area/village

Next up, Mnemosyne

In this scene from Ep01, Rin (the lady doing the stunt move) is saving Maeno (some guy she found whom... wait. I'm putting no spoilers here. Go watch it)

Last but not least, Code Geass R2
Zero (Lelouch masked character) and C.C. Both are allies. Geass power obtained by Lelouch was given by C.C.
Great friends, but also worst enemies. Lelouch (left) and Suzaku. On Lelouch's left eye is the side-effect of overusing his Geass.
A scene from EP07, showing the clean and detailed work of the anime studio. A round of applause please~~~ *Clapx3

bvc100 endorsed anime: True Tears

There's a whole range of new animes on the internet. Got to see some of them and by God there are some worth mentioning. One anime in particular is True Tears. It's kind of those drama types, based on a high school kid's life. Although you can predict the plot as it goes along, i must say that i got hooked to it for some reasons.

One of it is the quality of the artwork. I'm not sure which anime-studio made it, but a pat on the back for them for making a series that doesn't look out of place in a movie. You can see from some of the screenshots below, the background and attention to detail is marvelous. By the way, you can hardly differentiate which part or object is made entirely by CG and which are drawn. It is that good!

Secondly, i've got a soft spot for well designed characters, and this one has it in bucket load. The three main bishoujo characters are simply... beautiful and kawaii at the same time. Of course, i do have a favourite: Isurugi Noe (and she's featured in most of the screenshots below~~~). Oh yeah, the design of the male characters is just as good.

And last but not least, the overall presentation. The music (especially the opening song by Eufonius), sound effects and seiyuu voices are well matched to the anime to give it that extra something over other animes. As a result, i fully endorse this anime to anyone who love this sort of genre.

Jeng3... who is Isurugi Noe?

Introducing... Isurugi Noe~~~

Kawaii~~~

A basketball scene. This is one of the proof that their artwork is tops~

Huh? What's this? Who is she supporting??? Noooo!!!!

p/s: The last anime that swept me off my feet was Kanon. That was good...

Anime of the week

My personal anime of the week is Hayate no Gotoku Ep. 40. In this episode, a parody of one of my old favourite tv series, The Knight Rider is featured. Some screenshot of the episode is shown below.

Enjoy~

Other updates

Let's see... oh yes.

ONE. The new Proton BLM in one of my previous post has been officially launched today by our Prime Minister. The car retains the Saga name without an additional name at the back to make it sound cool or plain dumb (no pun intended).

TWO. Just finished reading a book entitled "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert T. Kiyosaki with Sharon L. Lechter as the co-author. The book was a recommended read by a good friend of mine (thanks Aziim) and i find it a MUST READ for all of you out there who wants to get out of the 'Rat Race'...

THREE. Watched some new episodes of well known (or old) anime plus some newer ones. I sincerely recommend you to watch Gintama, especially ep.44. Other recommended titles include Over Drive, Clannad, Bamboo Blade, Rozario Vampire, True Tears and some unmentionables~

FOUR. Found that Shakugan no Shana Second is as flat as the first season. No particular reason yet, but i will find one by the end of the series. Watched Gunslinger Girl season 2 ep.1 and found the artwork and sound to be disappointing. See the first season, and you'll know what i mean.

FIVE. My figure of Tohsaka Rin seems to deform with time. i don't know whether it's just me or it really is deforming (oh no!!!). This will be covered properly in an upcoming blog.

Phew... done! (@_@)'
