Quickie trip to Low Yatt Plaza... by bus

Aoi-chan sure was frustrated when i suddenly decided to take the bus to KL today. Why? It's a Sunday, there was a big even going on in KL and most of the main roads are closed. But, surprise2... the road to the Golden Triangle of KL wasn't that congested. Now i kinda regret not taking Aoi-chan.

Anyhow, with a fare of RM1, i managed to get there fairly fast. But the journey on the bus takes me back to the days before i got my driving license. Although the route was almost the same, the roads and the surroundings have changes quite a lot. A few of the older buildings have been demolished to make way for development. How sad... history is lost *snap*, just like that.

After buying the intended items; blank DVDs (to burn watched Animes and unused data) and a thumbdrive, i headed home. It started raining, but luckily i managed to get to the bus stop just in time to take a shelter from it. It was on this part of the whole trip that made me realize just how important public transport is to the masses. Those who can't afford a personal vehicle, those who lives and work in the bus' routes, students, foreigners, etc... their lives typically depend on it.

However, i'd stick to Aoi-chan. Why? Forgetting the fact that the bus stop which i will disembark from the bus is quite a walk away from my house and it was raining, i reached home safe... and soaked.

Aoi-chan, gomendasai~~~ """(T _ T)"""

The atmosphere inside the bus on the way home

Empress new boots~

Well, Aoi-chan's new tyres is more like it, but that wouldn't make much of a title. Hahaha~

Anyway, thanks in part to my not-so-outstanding-but-good achievement in my final result of my study, i managed to get a sponsor for replacing Aoi-chan's semi-slick (read as half bald) tyres... al four of them. A quick visit to the clinic again for her and out she comes with a brand spanking new Goodyear Eagle NCT5 tyres. Although the 'doctor' and his fellow 'nurses' tried to fit a better and slightly wider tyres on Aoi-chan, due to her slim dimensions, we were forced to stick with this one.

Now, even with her front lip spoiler missing, Aoi-chan can still fly in the corners~~~
Yahooo~~~ \(^ O ^)/

Old tyres out, new tyres in~~~

Traffic jam? I'd rather have strawberry jam...

The ITIS (i forgot what it stands for; Intelligent Traffic Information System perhaps?) telling me that the traffic will flow smoothly after a particular exit. It did, but the cause of the traffic jam was still unknown...

Had a 'seminar' last night, but had to meet up with a friend at his house first somewhere in Subang. As you might expect from the evening traffic, the Federal Highway was congested. But, after a long 1hr drive (which usually is a 15min blast in normal conditions), i found the cause of the traffic jam: Nothing.

This is the problem with our roads nowadays. People slow down when there's an accident that doesn't involve them or when it starts to drizzle, brake or slow down for nothing and hog the right lane when they are travelling slower than those on the left lanes. Here's my advice to all of you out there to ease our traffic congestion:
1. Don't hog the right lane is you can't drive right up to the 'legal' speed limit.
2. Be brave and minimize your use of brakes at not-so-sharp turns/bends.
3. Drive like normal even if it's raining cats and dogs. Your modern car and tyres combination can handle it.
4. If you like to stop and see an accident, get into one.
5. If you don't want to comply with any of the above, take the public transport.

Short Genting trip

Had a quick trip to Genting a few days ago. The weather wasn't that good, but a trip is a trip. Not that you 'trip' in any way though...

Anyway, rather than me blabber about the trip, let the photos tell you the story... so, enjoy~

Day 1 of the trip, just departed from the bottom station of the Genting Skyway.

Halfway through the journey in the 'gondola'. The smoothness of the ride and journey time will depend on the weather condition

Upon arrival at the upper station

Inside the First World Plaza. Most of the new indoor rides can be found here...

A quick stop at the McD outlet for dinner. Can't believe the price is almost doubled up here

Heading down after 1st day of trip. The fog sets in for the night...

The fog was so thick, we can't even see the ground. This was taken from our hotel room, on the 17th floor of Awana Genting

A nice buffet breakfast before the 2nd day's trip. Today i'll be driving upwards instead of taking the Skyway

The lovely view of the golf course from my table...

Totally forgot to take pictures. This was taken halfway through the 2nd day's trip. The colourful building at the back is the newly built First World Hotel

Frustration due to the lack of speed of one of the rides...

... and the no smoking sign telling us not to smoke whilst riding it...

... but the ride itself, being an 'antique car', puffed out it's own smoke all the way

Had this taken in the First World Plaza. It was either he was posing for the camera, or he lost his balance for an instant...

A rare moment of calm for Aoi-chan at the end of the trip. Photo taken at a mosque close to Awana Genting. Aoi-chan proved to be good for an uphill blast, and a riot for going downhill very very fast...

Photo for previous blog

It took me a day to recuperate myself from the shock of Aoi-chan losing her front lip spoiler. In a way, the newly bought Rei figure did help accelerate things.

Anyway, here are the pics as promised

The treacherous rain before it all happened

Aoi-chan returns back to her original form...

Line at the bottom part stops at where the front lip spoiler should be
